The Laboratoire de Probabilités et Modèles Aléatoires of Université Paris 6 invites applications for a 1-year postdoctoral position in mathematics, starting no later than the summer or the autumn of 2009. The applicants must have completed their PhD less than two years ago by the start of the postdoc, and should have a high-quality research record.

The topic will cover random matrices and related topics.

The postdoc position is funded by the French National Agency for research (ANR) within a project called "GranMa - Large Random Matrices". The net salary of the post-doc will amount to about 2000 euros per month.
